Apple Chips

Apple chips are great to make as a snack for a long drive or busy day. I usually buy bruised apples in bulk at a huge discount- bruises won't matter when you bake them and they taste sweeter.

Ingredients

lb apples

tbsp cinnamon
Directions
1.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
2.
Remove the cores from all of the apples.
3.
Cut apples into thin slices; a mandolin will speed this process up and ensure that they are a consistent thickness (which is important!).
4.
Lay out the apples on non-stick baking pans. Do not overlap.
5.
Sprinkle cinnamon over the slices.
6.
Bake apples for 45 minutes- keep an eye on them. You want to make sure that they bake slowly as to remove the majority of their moisture without burning them.
7.
Remove from oven when slices are slightly brown. Chips should be a bit chewy.
