Kay Poppen’S Cheeseburger Soup

Ingredients
2 1/2
lb Hamburger
2
Onions
Velvetta Cheese (I think I used half of the large box)
Tomatoes (I used about 6 nice Roma, they hold their shape in cooking)
Lettuce (I shredded about half a head and didn’t add until day of party)
Flour Surrey (I just used 1/4 cup of flour with a little water, it's just for thickening)
Chicken Base (A couple tabs. Just adds a little flavor)
Half and Half (Just some to make it creamy)
Pickles (I shredded up two of them)
Chicken Broth (I use chicken broth instead of water in all my soup)
Directions
1.
Cook hamburger, sauté onions until translucent in butter. Add one can chicken broth, flour surrey and chicken base.
2.
Start melting cheese in liquid and then add all other ingredients except lettuce. Add the lettuce a couple hours before serving. Then add half and half if using.
