Almond Scones

A great morning pastry

Ingredients

# 10oz pastry flour
2
tsp salt
1
oz baking powder
3
oz sugar
1
egg
2
egg yolks
15
oz heavy cream
1
cup sliced almonds
Directions
1.
Mix together all dry ingredients. Cut the butter into the dry ingredients until it is in 1/2” pieces. Combine the eggs, yolks, and heavy cream. Add the liquids and almonds to the butter and dry ingredients and mix just until a dough forms.

Roll to approximately 1” thick. Cut the dough into the desired shape, and egg wash.
3.
Refrigerate for 10 to 15 minutes and bake in oven at 375°F for 8-10 minutes
