Directions
1.
The night before, peel the onion and cut in half stud with the cloves. place the onion, bayleaf and peppercorns into a suacepan with the milk.Bring to the boil, take off the heat cover the pan and leave in a warm place overnight.

Strain the milk,stir in the breadcrumbs and add the butter. Leave the sauce pan on a low heat until breadcrumbs are swollen and thickened. Leave in a warm place till needed..

When needed beat in 1oz butter and the doulbe cream, season and warm through.
