Grandma Korinke's Sugar Cookies

These are the best cookies and great for decorating at any season, but most of all for Christmas cookie decorating party. For the first time, this year 2017, Julie, Elaine and I are getting together to start a family tradition which Annie will grow into, decorating and giving away Christmas Cookies.

Ingredients

cup of granulates sugar
1/2
cup of lard (important for soft cookies)
1
egg
1/2
cup of sour cream
1/2
tsp soda
1
tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
Flour to handle, you want to add the flour slowly and work it quickly with your hands until it is capable of being rolled out. It is probably about 3 1/2 to 4 cups of flour.
Directions
1.
Work these ingredients together as fast as you can, you want a soft dough, get it into a ball and refrigerate it for at least 1 hour before rolling out to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thickness and bake. Bake, until you can be made with your finger. do not overcook. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
