Peanut Blossoms

Can't go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate! Note to self: double this recipe and hide half or Carl will eat them all!

Ingredients
1
(8 oz) bag Hershey Kisses
1
egg
1/2
cup shortening
2
tbsp milk
3/4
cup peanut butter
1
tsp vanilla
1/3
cup granulated sugar
1
& 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1
tsp baking soda
1/3
cup packed light brown sugar
1/2
tsp salt
additional granulated sugar to roll cookie in before baking
Directions
1.
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
2.
Remove hershey kisses wrappers and leave in a bowl for later.
3.
Beat shortening and peanut better until well blended.
4.
Add the granulated and brown suger, beat until light and fluffy.
5.
Add egg, milk, and vanilla and beat well.
6.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to peanut butter batter.
7.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll them in granulated sugar.
8.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and back for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned.
9.
Immediately place Hershey kiss on top of each cookie, pressing down so cookie cracks around the edges.
10.
Remove from cookie sheet to cool on a wire rack. Cool completely before storing in a tin or container.
