Heart Break Cake

Ingredients
Cooking Spray

cup All Purpose Flour

tbsp Cocoa Powder
1/2
tsp Baking Soda
1/3
cup Canola Oil
1/2
cup Granulated Sugar
1/3
cup Sour Cream
1
Large Egg
1/2
tsp Vanilla Extract
1
tbsp Warm water or Brewed Coffee
Freeze Dried Berries (optional)
Powdered Sugar
Directions
1.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
2.
Spray 6" cake pan with cooking spray and line with a circle of parchment paper.
3.
In a small bow, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda. Set aside.
4.
In a medium size bowl, stir oil and sugar together; add sour cream and stir until well blended.
5.
Next, add egg and vanilla, stir until well combined.
6.
Sprinkle half the flour mix onto the wet mix, stir until blended, then stir in water or coffee, followed by the remaining flour mixture. Stir until there are no flour streaks left.
7.
Scrape batter into the prepared pan and bake on top of a cookie sheet for 30 minutes. The cake is done when you can insert a tooth pick into the center of it and pull it out with moist crumbs attached to it. When done, let cake cool in pan for 15 minutes, then gently remove cake from pan and place ona small cake stand.
8.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on top of the cake and top off with berries if desired.
