Egg In A Basket

An Aubrey speciality: eggs and toast all in one dish, a fast and easy way to start the day!

Slice of Bread

Large Egg

Directions

Starting with the slice of bread use a knife or cookie cutter to cut the center of the bread out leaving enough space to put the egg and saving the bread piece you cut out. Heat pan over medium high heat and spray non-stick spray into pan once the pan is hot. Quickly place the bread in the pan and crack the egg into the space in the center. After a couple of minutes the whites will set on the bottom, use a spatula to flip the egg in a basket and cook another three or so minutes until cooked to taste. Plate the egg in a basket and place the center bread piece you saved in the pan toasting it for 45 sec or so on both sides, toast to taste. Garnish with the centerpiece and serve.
