Overnight French Toast Bake

Ingredients

loaf French bread
8
large eggs

cups milk
1/2
cup heavy cream
3/4
cup sugar

tbsp pure vanilla extract
Topping:
1/2
cup unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2
cup packed brown sugar
1
tsp cinnamon
1/4
tsp salt
1/2
cup cold unsalted butter, cup into pieces
Directions

Cut the bread into cubes and place evenly into a greased 9x13-inch glass baking dish. In a large bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla. Pour evenly over bread. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. In a medium bowl mix together the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. With a pastry blender cut the butter into the flour mixture until crumbly. Place in a Ziploc bag and refrigerate overnight. When ready to bake preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the bead mixture and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until puffed and golden.
