Stuffed Mushroom Casserole

Ingredients

oz package button mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
8
oz package portobello mushrooms, cleaned and sliced

tbsp unsalted butter
1
cup finely chopped onion
2
tbsp minced garlic
1/4
cup grated parmesan cheese
3/4
cup seasoned breadcrumbs
4
tbsp unsalted butter, melted
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Directions
1.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt a 1/2 tablespoon of butter in a sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add onion and sauté until translucent, then add garlic and the mushrooms and cook until golden and tender, and most of the liquid from the mushrooms has been absorbed, adding a 1/2 tablespoon of butter if the mushrooms start to stick. Transfer mushrooms to a buttered baking dish. In a small bowl combine the melted butter, breadcrumbs, and cheese; mix well. Add half of the breadcrumbs to the mushrooms and stir to combine. Then top with the remainder of the breadcrumbs. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden and bubbly. i
