3 Month Pickles

Mom got this from a lady in Churchville that owns the Mill Shop

Serves 15people
Ingredients
1
gal of whole cucumbers
4
tsp salt
4
tbsp pickling spice
4
tbsp alum
4
cups vinegar
enough water to fill the jar
Directions
1.
Put all ingredients in a gallon jar and seal tight. Make sure the liquid covers the cucumbers. Flip to mix every couple days. They do not have to be kept in the fridge at this point.
2.
After 3 months, drain and rinse. Slice the cucumbers and put back into the jar with 5 cups of sugar
3.
Store in the fridge and serve
