Pam's French Onion Soup

Ingredients

large yellow onions, sliced
1/4
cup butter, melted
6
beef bouillon cubes, smashed
dash of pepper
1
qt water
1
tsp Worcestershire sauce
French baguette
4
slices mild provolone
Directions
1.
In a large saucepan, saute onions in butter until soft; do not brown.
2.
Add bouillon cubes, pepper, water, and Worcestershire sauce; stir to combine.
3.
Simmer for 25 minutes.
4.
Ladle soup into oven-safe bowls.
5.
Place a toasted slice of bread on top of each bowl; cover with a slice of cheese.
6.
Broil until cheese browns and bubbles; serve warm.
