Corn Chowder

this is adapted from Mama's corn recipe.

Ingredients
1/2
cup milk
6
ears corn on the cob sweet
2
stalks celery diced
1
medium onion diced
1
small red potato diced
1
tbsp sugar
1
tsp salt and pepper
Directions
1.
cut kernel tips off of corn then scrape the cobs to get the "corn" out of the "tipped" kernels.
2.
saute onion, celery, potato in 3 TBS olive oil.

when halfway done, about 7 minutes, add scraped corn.
4.
cook 5 - 10 minutes more and add about 1 cup of water to thin out the soup. You could add chicken broth or veggie broth but then don't add as much salt.
5.
about 2 minutes before it is done add 1/2 to 1 cup milk or half and half.
6.
cook but you may need to add more water, broth or milk.
