Rich's Cheep Chicken And Dumplings

This is a favorite in our house :)

Prep
Cook
Serves 8people
Ingredients
1
whole fryer
5
tubes of regular canned biscuits ( no buttermilk - they fall apart)
salt - to taste
pepper - to taste
1
tbsp of garlic or to taste
Flour - is for the coating the biscuits
1/2
cup of butter
Directions
1.
Fill large pot with water until it almost covers the whole fryer, add butter, bring to boil and cook, until tender.
2.
While chicken is cooking, remove biscuits from containers, dip in flour and roll until each biscuit is approximately 1/4 inch thick ( you can cut the biscuits in half if you want them smaller).
3.
Once chicken is done turn down heat to medium low, remove chicken from water and add biscuits to pot, cover and let simmer. ( the biscuits will float, but don't stir them, just dip them below the water line until they start to sink).
4.
Add Garlic powder, salt and pepper to broth until the required taste is acquired.
5.
When chicken cools strip meat to bones and add to pot, stir in chicken when most biscuits have dropped, turn heat to low and stir every five minutes until biscuits are cooked through. (of course the cook will have to test the biscuits)
6.
Serve in a bowl... Serve about 6-8 people
7.
Enjoy
