Food Items To Bring For A Successful Trip

After many years coming to the Grant, we've learned that there are some staples we need to have to make food prep that much easier. Each cabin has the non-food essentials, and will occasionally have salt and pepper (although not always), but little else in the way of pantry staples. And some things are easier to bring as one unit (like olive oil) rather than have everyone bring a little of it for their particular recipe or meal. Here's what we recommend, but do add to the list or make it your own.

cup olive oil (this is usually more than enough for a 3 day weekend no matter what the meals unless there's a lot of sauteing or a recipe that requires quite a bit)

sticks butter
enough sugar for coffee

jar chopped garlic
salt and pepper

cups mayo
mustard
pickles (for lunches)
chutney
half and half
