Beef Stew

2Pam's Beef Stew has been passed both up and down our family line. Quick and delicious it is the perfect winter dinner.

Ingredients

lb stew meat
1
tbsp olive oil
1
large onion - quartered
3/4
lb carrots
8
medium potatoes - chunked
2
stalks celery - chunked
1
beef broth
2
cups water
2
tsp beef bouillon
1
McCormick stew mix
4
tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/2
cup flour
4
tbsp butter
Directions
1.
1. Brown stew meat in oil and 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce. Add onion and cook until tender. Dump into Crock pot.
2.
2. Add beef broth, water, bouillon, stew mix, Worcestershire, potatoes, celery and carrots.
3.
3. Cook on low for 8-10 hours
4.
4. To thicken melt butter in a pan and add flour. Cook until smooth and bubbly. Add to stew and cook an addition 5-10 minutes.
