Lentil Soup.

Lentil soup refers to a variety of vegetarian and meat soups made with lentils.

Ingredients
1
cup - lentils
4
oz (120 gr) - ham cut into 1/4 inch (1/2 cm) cubes
1
medium (5 oz / 150 g) - onion chopped
1
medium (4 oz / 120 g) - carrot chopped
1/2
cup - celery chopped
1
small - bay leaf
1
clove - garlic finely chopped
1/2
tsp - salt
3/4
cup - tomato juice
4
cups - water
1
tbsp - wine vinegar
Directions
1.
Recipe can be reduced to one-third by reducing all ingredients proportionately.
2.
Put all ingredients except vinegar in cooker. Stir.
3.
Close cooker. Bring to full pressure on high heat. Reduce heat and cook for 15 minutes.
4.
Remove cooker from heat. Allow to cool naturally.
5.
Open cooker. Discard bay leaf. Mix half the soup lightly in a blender or mash it through a sieve.
6.
Return blended soup to the remaining soup in cooker. Add vinegar. Stir. Reheat. Serve hot.
