Aunt Terry's Cream Puffs

This was a family favorite with the Boehm's and the Zito's. This recipe originated by Fran Daugherty and tweaked over the years by me! You will always impress your guests when making these.

Prep
Cook
Serves 15people
Ingredients
1/2
cup butter (salted) melted
1
cup water
1
cup flour
4
large eggs
1
small package vanilla instant pudding
2
cups milk
cool whip
1/2
stick margarine
4
tbsp hershey's cocoa
4
tbsp milk
1/2
bag powdered sugar
1
tsp vanilla
Directions
1.
Melt butter in the water. Gradually add flour with wooden spoon stir briskly & take off stove.
2.
Add eggs one at a time - dough will be sticky (use a mixer when adding eggs - beat till smooth)
3.
Drop by teaspoon full on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes.
4.
Mix together pudding mix and milk. Let it set in fridge, add cool whip once set.
5.
For Frosting - melt margarine on stove and add cocoa & milk, stirring consistently (it gets thick) always stir with wooden spoon right on the stove. Add 1/2 bag of powdered sugar (are you stirring briskly?) add 1 tsp of vanilla, once you have no lumps take from stove and drizzle over your cream puff and refrigerate.
6.
Honestly once you make these you will see how easy they are...Love you Sammy, don't be afraid to bake!
