Ingredients

cup sugar
1/4
cup flour
1
grated lemon rind
1
large lemon juice
2
tbsp melted butter
1 1/2
cups scalded milk
3
egg yolks
3
egg whites
butter baking dish
Directions
1.
Beat egg yolks well and add scalded milk heated with the sugar, add flour, lemon juice, lemon rind and butter. Fold in stuffy beaten egg whites and pour into buttered dish and set in a pan of hot water. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 35 minutes ( I cook a little longer maybe 40.45 minutes - make sure the sauce is not too runny). Set aside to cool and do not refrigerate if it will be eaten the same day. This is like a souffle on top, sauce on bottom.
