In a food processor, mince garlic with olive oil. Add chick peas and begin to puree. Add tahini, lemon juice and seasonings. Puree until the right consistency, adding reserved chick pea liquid if necessary.

Optional: Can add after blending: chopped green onion, chives or chooped roasted red peppers. Fold in.

Serve with syrian bread wedges and sliced red onion or crackers.
