Cabbage Noodles

Ingredients

cups shredded cabbage

tbsp salt
1
large onion, sliced
4-5
slices of bacon, cut into pieces

pkg noodles
Directions
1.
Combine cabbage with salt and let sit for about 2-3 hours. Drain thoroughly, ringing out moisture.

In a heavy pot cook bacon until done then add onion and cook until brown. Add cabbage and cook,

stirring occasionally, until limp (about 20 minutes). Cook noodles and drain. Stir in cabbage mixture and noodles. Add salt and pepper to taste.
4.
Optional: Can omit bacon. Use butter instead. Also can add 2 t vinegar and 2 t sugar and 1 t dill.
