Sweet Potatoes Casserole

Ingredients
2 1/4-2 1/2
lb sweet potatoes
1/3
cup sugar
1/4
tsp nutmeg
1/4
cup milk
1/4
cup butter or margarine, melted
1
egg slightly beaten
1/4
cup chopped pecans
1/4
cup coconut
1/4
cup firmly packed brown sugar
2
tbsp flour
2
tbsp margarine or butter, melted
Directions
1.
Scrub potatoes, cut in quarters. Boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, until tender. Cool and peel. Mash warm potatoes, measure three cups.
2.
Stir in sugar, nutmeg and the ¼ cup of melted butter or margarine.
3.
In small bowl, combine milk and egg and add to sweet potatoes mixture, blend well.
4.
Place in ungreased 1 ½ quart casserole dish or baking dish.
5.
In small bowl, combine all praline top ingredients and sprinkle over the top.
6.
Bake for one hour in 350 oven or until slightly puffed and brown.
7.
I double this recipe. You can also put everything together the day before, refrigerate and bake the next day.
