Cinnamon Orchata

A refreshing Mexican drink made with rice, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. A great balance for spicy foods, enjoy this served over ice. Its soooooo moorish and soooooo easy to make!

Ingredients

gr long-grain rice
1
ltr of whole milk
1
tsp of ground cinnamon
4
tbsp of light brown sugar
1
or 2 cinnamon sticks
ice cubes
Directions
1.
Prepare the rice according to the package instructions, then strain and run under cold water so it cools down quickly. Put the cooled rice into a blender with the milk, ground cinnamon, and sugar. Blend until smooth.

Strain rice mixture into a pitcher with lots of ice. Discard the rice from the sieve. Snap cinnamon sticks in half and place into pitcher with the horchata. Pour into glasses. Sprinkle over a little more ground cinnamon and serve.
