Sinha's Chicken Shish Kebabs

This is a recipe which all of us enjoyed in the backyard barbeques in Flossmoor. It was Mom's marinate which made them special.

Ingredients
2
lb chicken breast (skinless)
1
large onion
1
green pepper
1/2
cup plain yogurt
1
tsp salt
1/2
tsp turmeric powder
1
tsp red chili powder
3
coriander powder
1
tsp garam masala
3
fresh ginger and garlic grinded
2
tbsp shaan tandoori chicken masala for red color (or another brand) optional
1/2
cup vegetable or olive oil
1/2
cup lemon juice
Directions
1.
Cut Chicken Breasts into 1 1/2" squares or rectangle shape; Wash, pat dry.
2.
Cut Green Pepper and Onion into 1 1/2" squares.
3.
Add Oil, Ginger/Garlic Paste, Salt, Turmeric, Garam Masala, Red Chili Powder, Yogurt, Lemon Juice, and Shaan Tandoori Chicken Masala.
4.
Mix.
5.
Place in Fridge overnight.
6.
Skewer Chicken, Onion, and Green Pepper

GRILLING:

Pam on grill
9.
Sear on both sides of Chicken for 2 minutes (High Heat)
10.
Cook on indirect heat for about 30 to 40 minutes turning several time (Medium Heat)
11.
Remove from skewers and squeeze lemon on top
