cups toor dahl - rinsed and drained multiple times until water is clear

cups water

tsp turmeric
1
tsp salt
2
pinches crushed red pepper
1
med tomato cut into small wedges
1
/2-1 juice of lemon
chopped cilantro
Directions
1.
Combine all ingredients in a small to med size pressure cooker

Turn on to full heat
3.
Follow instructions for your pressure cooker as to when to turn off heat and let cool/de-pressurize

Open lid and stir

Tadka: heat 2 T ghee in a very small pan or tadka pan. When hot add 1/4 tsp hing and 1 1/2 tsp of cumin seed. Let roast for 10-20 seconds.

Add Tadka quickly to Dahl with lid immediately covering the dahl pot to avoid splatter. Stir. Add lemon juice and chopped cilantro. Can add additional salt to taste if desired.
