Ground Beef Keema

This recipe can be used for a variety of dishes. You can eat this by itself or put it in a samosa or patties using Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. Spiciness can be altered to taste.

Ingredients

cup diced onions

broken cinnamon stick

bay leaves
4
green cardamoms
1 1/2
lb ground beef
2
tbsp garlic paste
3
tbsp ginger paste
1/2
tsp turmeric
1/4
tsp coriander powder
1/2
tsp chili powder
1
tsp cumin
4
tsp cooking oil
3
green chili pepper
1/2
tsp brown sugar* optional
Directions
1.
Fry onions, cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, and cardamoms.
2.
Add garlic and ginger paste. Keep stirring.
3.
Add the rest of the spices to create paste
4.
Add keema (add water if needed) and cook covered . Stir occassionally.
5.
When the keema starts drying out, add the cumin and chili peppers.
6.
Keema is done when the water has evaporated.
