Biscuit Wrapped Fried Chicken

Susan Chelbowski's recipe, we were introduced February 2014 (Selinsgrove, Pa) Susan makes dough from scratch, I have made with refrigerated biscuits and crescent rolls (works well and a great short cut)

Ingredients
Marinade

cup buttermilk
1/2
cup Frank's Red Hot and Kosher Salt
14
oz Chicken
Dough
2
cups all purpose Flour
1
tbsp Baking Powder
2
tsp sugar
1
cup half and half
For Frying
2
cups all purpose Flour
2
tsp paprika
1
tsp cayenne pepper + pepper
1
tsp fresh thyme
Oil for frying
5
tbsp Unsalted Melted Butter
2
tbsp Honey
Directions
1.
Marinade chicken
2.
Cover and Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight
3.
Make dough
4.
Fry Chicken (internal temp 360)
5.
Drain on paper towel, sprinkle and salt
6.
Preheat oven 375
7.
Wrap a strip of chilled dough around fried chicken
8.
Brush dough with melted butter
9.
Sprinkle with salt and paprika
10.
Bake 12 minutes
11.
Brush with honey and butter
