Moist Chocolate Cake

Holds very well. Very moist. Adding extra sugar to the frosting makes this cake shine.

cups white sugar

cups cake flour

cup cocoa powder

tsp baking soda

cup milk

cup vegetable oil

tsp vanilla extract

cup butter (melted)
2/3
cup cocoa

cups powdered sugar
1/3
cup milk
1
tsp vanilla

cups hot chocolate packets
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees grease and flour two 9 inch round cake pans.

Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, soda, and salt. Add eggs, milk, oil, vanilla extract, and 1 cup of the hot chocolate packets. Pour batter in prepared pans. Bake for 25-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

How to make the frosting:

Combine butter, cocoa powder, sugar, milk, vanilla, and 1 cup of the hot chocolate packets. Beat with an electric mixer until it is a spreadable consistency.
