Honey Wheat Bread

Ingredients

tbsp dry yeast

cup warm water
1/4
cup honey
1
tbsp salt (less?)
2
tbsp shortening
1
cup warm milk
3
cups whole wheat flour
1
or 2 cups white flour
melted butter
Directions
1.
Soften yeast in 1 cup warm water and set aside. (Add a tsp of sugar to accelerate the process). Combine honey, salt , shortening, hot milk, and whole wheat flour. Blend. Add yeast mixture. Blend. Add white flour. Knead. From into loaves (2 lg, or 4 sm). Let rise until doubled in bulk. Bake at 400 for 20 mins. Lower temp to 350 and bake for 15 more minutes (less for 4 loaves). Brush on egg/milk mixture towards the end. Test with toothpick to see if done.
