Chocolate Christmas Crinkles

One of our favorite cookie Susan Chelbowski (cousin, wife of Jim- Aunt Virginia's son) -- she would send these around Christmas and we fell in love with this cookies. One of Larry's favorites

Ingredients
1/2
cup butter softened
1 3/4
cups sugar
3
eggs
1 1/2
tsp vanilla
4
(1 oz) squares unsweetened chocolate
2
cup plus 2 T flour
2
tsp baking powder
1/4
tsp salt
1/2
cup confectioner's sugar
Directions
1.
Preheat Oven 350
2.
Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and blend thoroughly. Melt chocolate in a dish in microwave for 1 1 1/2 minutes (do not burn). Sometimes I melt chocolate and butter together instead)

Add to mixture and blend well
4.
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt and add to mixture all at once and mix well
5.
Refrigerate for 1 hour

Shape into 1" balls and roll in confectioner sugar
7.
Place on lightly greased cookie sheets

Bake at 350 for 10 minutes

Make 3-4 dozen

They taste better the next day
