Italian Fig Cookies

Ingredients

cup figs, stem removed

cup raisins

cup honey
1/4
cup brandy
1 1/2
tsp fine orange zest

tsp fine lemon zest

tbsp cinnamon
1/4
tsp cloves
1/4
tsp nutmeg
3/4
cup toasted, chopped almonds
3/4
cup toasted, chopped walnuts
Directions
1.
Pulse figs and raisins in a food processor until finely chopped, then stir with remaining ingredients
2.
Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours.

Use with pastry dough recipe (desserts chapter)
