Pie Crust

Great for any type of pie!

Ingredients
2
egg yolks
4
tsp of ice water (take from a cup of ice water to ensure cold water.)
2
cups of flour
salt to taste
10
tsp of very cold butter
1
tbsp of milk (optional- if your batter is dry)
Directions
1.
Mix your egg yolks with the cold water. In a medium bowl whisk the flour and salt together. Using your fingertip (not your palms), mold in the butter into your flour mixture. Add your egg mixture into the flour one and using your fingertips or a spoon, mix the batter. To test whether or not your batter is ready, squish some together and see how well it holds up. If too dry, add your optional milk. Dump onto floured surface and knead into a flat ball. Wrap in saran wrap and refrigerate for one hour. Keeping your dough cold, roll out and line in a pie or tart pan. Preheat oven to your liking (whatever your recipe says), and bake the pie crust. Enjoy!
