Fish Pulao Take I

For those who are fond of fish, this pulao is a nice, healthier alternative to biryani. It is full of flavour, and nutritious too!

Ingredients
500
gr fish
2
cups rice
2
onions sliced
1
onion ground
1
tbsp ginger and garlic paste
pinch garam masala
1/2
tsp turmeric powder
4
bay leaves
salt to taste
Directions
1.
Wash rice and keep aside for 10 mins.
2.
Heat oil in a pan and add the bay leaves and garam masala. Add rice and fry for 5 mins.
3.
In a separate pan, fry the fish until golden brown, then keep aside.
4.
Fry the sliced onion, and when brown add the ground onion, ginger garlic paste, turmeric and salt.
5.
Fry till the raw smell disappears and masala is brown. Add fish and a little water and simmer.
6.
Remove once it's dry.
7.
In a pressure cooker layer rice and fish. Add 4 cups of water and cover, letting the cooker whistle only once. Serve hot.
