These wonderful balls of deliciousness are a typical Bengali dish, which can be served as a snack, or eaten with rice and daal as part of a meal.

Ingredients

cup poppy seeds
1
onion chopped finally
2
green chillies chopped
2
tbsp flour
salt to taste
Directions
1.
Clean, wash, and grind the poppy seeds to a paste. This should not be too watery.
2.
Add onion, chillies, salt and flour.
3.
Shape into balls and flatten.
4.
Fry in hot oil.
5.
The balls should be thin, and the oil should just cover them.
6.
Fry the other side and drain on a paper towel.
7.
Happy eating!
