Ac's Amazing Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ok, basically this is the Original Nestle Toll House Recipe but I sift dry ingredients, add extra flour, and have butter and eggs at room temperature. Use a scoop to keep cookies consistent size.

Ingredients

cups flour

tsp baking soda

tsp salt

cup (2 stick) softened butter)

cup sugar
3/4
cup brown sugar
1
tsp vanilla extract
2
large eggs (at room temperature)
2
cups chocolate chips
1
cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions
1.
Set out butter day or night before baking
2.
Preheat oven to 375
3.
Place flour, baking soda, and salt in a sifter and combine. Set aside
4.
Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in large mixer until creamy.
5.
Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each is added.
6.
Beat in flour mixture in thirds until well blended.
7.
Mix in chips and nuts.
8.
Drop by scoop onto ungreased cookie sheet.
9.
Bake for 11 to 13 minutes until golden brown.
10.
Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; move to wire racks to cool completely.
11.
I usually place in ZipLoc bags and freeze to keep fresh.
