Ahuva Edell's Spicy Tomato Sauce For Gefilte Fish

Ahuva and I make this differently. She bakes the sauce with the fish, but I make the sauce separately in case people just want fish without the sauce. It depends on the crowd.

Loaf Gefilte Fish

Red Pepper

Green Pepper

Onion
1
Jalapeño Pepper
1
tsp Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder

Jar Marinara Sauce
1/2
cup Sugar
1 1/2
cups Water
Directions
1.
Saute the 3 peppers and the onion. Sprinkle with spices.
2.
Add the sugar and water.
3.
Place the fish in a dish and pour half a jar of marinara sauce over it.
4.
Pour the water and pepper mixture over the fish and mi with the marinara sauce- make sure of the veggies stay on top of the fish.
5.
Bake for 2 hours on 350 degrees.

To make the sauce separately: Just cook the fish as it says on the package. Sauté the vegetables and add the spices, water, sugar and marinara sauce to the pan and mix. Let it cook for a few minutes. Before you serve, just spoon some sauce over the fish.
