Asparagus With Cream Sauce
My grandmother, "Nonnie", loved asparagus. She loved it even more with this lemony, mustardy cream sauce on it...and I do too. We made it together on her last Easter.
Snap the ends of the asparagus, place in a microwave safe dish with a small amount of water. Cover with plastic wrap and cook in the microwave 6-8 minutes. Drain and arrange on a serving dish.

Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 min, stirring continually. Gradually add chicken broth and half-and-half. Cook over med. heat, stirring constantly until thickened and bubbly. Stir in mustard, lemon juice and pepper. Pour over asparagus.
