Swedish Nuts

I like to make this during the holidays for friends and family Stacy's recipe

Prep
Cook
Serves 1person
Ingredients
2 1/2
cups of walnut halves
2 1/2
cups of pecan halves
1/2
cup margarine (be sure that you use margarine)
2
egg whites
1/2
tsp salt
1
cup sugar
Directions
1.
Toast nuts in a shallow pan at 300 degrees until lightly browned. Melt margarine in a 10X15 pan in the oven.
2.
Beat eggs whites and salt until soft peaks are formed, while beating, gradually add sugar. Fold hot nuts into meringue, spread evenly over melted margarine. Bake in 300 degree oven for 30 minutes (stirring at 10 minute intervals) or until dry.
3.
Once the nuts are completed I wrap them in small gift boxes to give to friends for the holidays! They are always a HIT!
4.
I say 1 on the serving but as you can tell there is 5 cups of nuts in one recipe so it does make a lot.
