Quick And Easy Chili

This is one of my favorite Chili recipes Stacy's Recipe

Prep
Cook
Serves 10people
Ingredients
1
tbsp vegetable oil
2
lb ground beef
1
onion chopped
3
cloves garlic, minced
1
or 2 jalapeños seeded and chopped
1/4
cup chile powder
1
tbsp ground cumin
1
tbsp unsweetened cocoa ( I prefer Hershey's), optional
2
tsp salt
1/2
tsp black pepper
1
cup beef broth
1
can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
2
cans (16 oz) chili beans with sauce
1
can (10 3/4 oz) of cream of tomato soup
1/4
cup chopped cilantro
Garnish: sour cream, shredded Cheddar cheese and/or tortilla chips
Directions
1.
Place vegetable oil in a 6 quart Dutch oven over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook, stirring and breaking up any clumps, for 6 to 7 min or until no longer pink.
2.
Add onion, garlic, and jalapeños to the pan and cook until vegetables are softened. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, cocoa, salt and pepper mixing well into the meat mixture. Cook for a minute or two for the flavors to blend.
3.
Add beef broth and bring the chili mixture to a boil; simmer for a couple of minutes. Add the tomatoes, beans, and tomato soup; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer at least 15 minutes. Simmer longer over low heat if desired to allow flavors to blend, stirring occasionally. Stir in cilantro before serving.
4.
Makes 10 to 12 servings
5.
You can also place in a crockpot on low for 6 to 8 hours
