Cheyanne Harris' Weeknight Chili

Quick, and tasty chili making for an easy weeknight dinner. Pairs well with white rice and cornbread! Enjoy!

Ingredients

lb of ground turkey (or ground beef)
1-16
oz tub of Johnson Chili Starter (see picture at left)
1-10.5
oz of tomato puree
1
– cup of diced onions (or substitute with ½ cup of onion powder)
1/2
cup of garlic powder
1/4
cup of seasoning salt
1
tbsp of cumin (optional)
1
tbsp of pepper
1-15
oz can of beans (either kidney or black)
2-15
oz can of stewed tomatoes (diced or whole depending on preference)
Recipe can be doubled to increase number of portions.
Directions
1.
Brown ground turkey and drain using a colander once cooked through. Return to saucepan and add diced onions and seasonings (garlic powder, salt, cumin, pepper)

Mix in tomato puree, beans, stewed tomatoes, and Johnson Chili starter chili mix. Bring to simmer then reduce heat. Stir occasionally and let simmer for 20 min.

Remove from heat and enjoy!
