Grandma Surface's Dumplings

Growing up I remember looking forward to the weekends spent with my Grandparents. When we would visit, we ALWAYS got the pleasure of enjoying Grandma’s dumplings, she knew we loved them. Dumplings are simple, and many would say plain, but it was one of our favorites! My Grandma Surface made everything from scratch, and she wrote this recipe down for me when I got married and moved away. She also taught my mom how to make them and they taste identical to Grandma’s! My Grandma passed away in 2017. I think of her every day and when I eat dumplings it brings me right back to being a kid again.

Drop spoonsful of the dumpling mix into the saucepan – DO NOT STIR or it will become mushy!

Feel free to add your chicken, turkey and/or carrots if desired.
