Bread Pudding

Best served warm and topped with whiskey sauce.

Ingredients
Liquid Mixture:
2
cans sweetened condensed milk
1
can liquid (liquid from canned fruit with additional water if necessary to get to 1 can)
1
can milk
4
eggs
1
tsp vanilla extract
1/2
tsp cinnamon
pinch salt
Solids Mixture:
1
can (15 oz) of fruit (peaches, fruit cocktail, crushed pineapple anything you want)
10
oz white bread loaf cut into approximately
1
inch cubes
1/2
cup raisins
1
banana (optional)
Whiskey Sauce:
1/4
cup butter (cut into pieces)
1/4
cup bourbon (you can also usebrandy or rum)¼ cup granulated sugar (or ½ cup powdered sugar)
Separately:1 stick of butter
Directions
1.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients from the Liquid Mixture and beat with a wire whisk until well combined.
3.
Immediately add the ingredients from the Solids Mixture to the bowl and (with your hands) combine thoroughly!
4.
Pour mixture into a 9x15 inch baking pan (glass or metal) and use you hands to evenly distribute the mixture in the pan.
5.
Cut the butter into teaspoon size pieces and insert the pieces into the mixture in the pan evenly distributing them through the mixture.
6.
Bake for approximately 1 hour –mixture will be a bit loose when you take it out of the oven, but it will set after it cools.
7.
For whiskey sauce: Combine ingredients in a small bowl and microwave on high for 1 minute –stir with wire whisk.
