Ginger Cookies

Ingredients

cups flour, sifted
1 1/2
tsp baking soda
1/2
tsp salt

tsp cinnamon
1
tsp powdered sugar
1
tsp powdered cloves
1
cup shortening
1
cup sugar
1
egg
1
cup molasses
1
tbsp vinegar
Directions
1.
Sift flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves together.

Cream shortening and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add egg, molasses and vinegar and beat well. Add flour mixture and mix well.
3.
Chill for 3 hours.
4.
Roll on lightly floured surface. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on nonstick cookie sheets. Bake at 375F for 5-6 minutes until browned.
