Salon Loaf

Great Grandma Davis' Recipe. Served always with mash potatoes and creamed peas.

Ingredients

can Salmon (reserve liquid only)

cup Milk

Eggs
1 1/2
cups Dry Bread Crumbs
1
Small Onion
1/4
cup Butter
Bread crumbs i use Progresso Italian Bread Crumbs
Sauce
2
tbsp Butter
2
tbsp Flour
3/4
cup Milk
All Reserved Liquid.
Directions
1.
Dain salmon (save liquid in small dish) remove done and skin. Real messy but need to use fingers to remove all bones and gray skin. Mix well in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients mix well. Pour into greased 8x8 baking dish.

Bake at 350 for 50 minutes. (so it don't dry out i cover it with tin foil.)

In small saucepan melt butter- add flour blend well to remove lumps. Add milk and liquid stir constantly over LOW HEAT (will burn) Cook till thick.
