Apple Crumble Chex Mix

Ingredients

cup old-fashioned oats
1/2
cup all-purpose flour
1/3
cup packed brown sugar

tsp ground cinnamon
1/4
tsp fine sea salt
1/2
cup cold butter, cut into pieces

tsp water

cups Apple Cinnamon Chex™ cereal
3
cups apple chips
1
cup lightly salted, roasted almonds
Directions
1.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a large rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, add oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and sea salt; mix well. Use a pastry blender or fork to cut in butter, until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Stir in water until the mixture comes together. Spread out evenly in the pan; press down slightly on mixture to hold together.

Bake for 10 minutes; stir gently. Continue baking 10–13 minutes or until the mixture is light golden brown. Cool completely on parchment in the pan, about 1 hour. Carefully break into small clusters.

In a large serving bowl, mix cereal, apple chips and almonds; stir in clusters. Store in a covered container at room temperature. Optional, but encouraged upgrade: Gently warm ½ cup of your favorite caramel sauce and stir in 2 tablespoons heavy cream until smooth. Pour over the mix. Serve as a snack, in a yogurt parfait, or over vanilla ice cream.
