Nina's Baked Ziti

My grandmother's simple baked ziti recipe.

Ingredients

lb sausage meat
1/2
lb ground beef

tbsp olive oil
1
Jar of favorite pasta sauce (24oz)
1
lb of ziti
1
lb sliced mozzarella
1/2
lb shredded parmesan
Italian Seasoning to taste
Lasagna Pan
Aluminum Foil
Directions
1.
Follow the directions on the box of ziti and set cooked ziti aside for later.
2.
While the ziti is cooking, place a large skillet on medium heat with olive oil and wait for the pan to heat up. Place both the ground beef and the sausage in the skillet, add some Italian seasoning. Sausage and beef should be cooked fully and then add in your sauce and the cooked ziti.

Layer your ingredients in the lasagna pan. 1/2 of the ziti and meat and then half of your mozzarella, Italian seasoning, and a little less than half of your parmesan. Repeat once and then add more seasoning.
4.
Cover your lasagna pan in foil and let sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
5.
Bake at 350° with the foil on for 40 minutes. Take off the foil and continue to bake until the top layer of cheese is slightly brown and bubbly.
