Kolachky (Nut Horns)

Ingredients
flour, yeast, sugar, margarine, vegetable shortening, eggs, sour cream, powdered sugar.
Directions
1.
Sift: 5 cups flower and place in mixing bowl.
2.
Crumple: 1 cake of yeast into flour or 1 packet of yeast, 1/4 cup water, and 1 tsp sugar.
3.
Cut in: 1/2 lb margarine, 1 cup vegetable shortening, work as with pie dough.
4.
Separate 3 eggs (save whites)
5.
Add: 3 egg yolks, 1/2 pt sour cream (1 cup), and mix well with hands.
6.
Shape into balls, cover with wax paper, and chill 1 hour or overnight. (You can store in refrigerator for several days)
7.
Sprinkle granulated sugar thickly over board and rollout dough.
8.
Cut into 2 or 3 inch suqares.
9.
Place 1 tsp prepared filling in the center and roll into horns bringing opposite corners together and pinch.
10.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 for 15- 20 minutes
11.
Loosen immediately and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
