Manicotti

Ingredients

lb sausage (mild or hot)

cans (15 oz) of italian tomato sauce

oz tomato paste
1/4
cup water
1/2
tbsp brown sugar

oz ricotta cheese
3
cups shredded mozzarella
1
egg
1
tsp parsley
12
manicotti noodles
1/2
cup grated parmesan + extra for topping
Directions
1.
Brown sausage and drain grease. Remove 1.2 of the sausage and set aside.
2.
Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, brown sugar, and water into the 1st half of the sausage and simmer for 15 min.
3.
Combine other half of the sausage in another bowl with the egg, parsley, and parmesan.
4.
Stuff the noodles with the ricotta mixture. In 9 x 13 pan pour 1/3 of the sauce in the bottom of the pan and line the noodles in the pan on top of the sauce. Pour remainder of the sauce on top of the noodles and top with the mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with extra parmesan,

Bake @ 350 for 20 minutes.
