Mom's Swedish Meatballs

My mom's Swedish meatball recipe.

Ingredients

beaten egg

cups milk (separated)
3/4
cup soft breadcrumbs (1 slice)

cup chopped onion
1/4
cup snipped parsley
1/4
tsp pepper
1/8
tsp ground allspice or nutmeg
3/4
lb ground beef
1/4
lb ground pork
1
tbsp butter
2
tsp beef bouillon
1/8
tsp pepper
Directions
1.
In mixing bowl combine egg, 1/4 cup milk, bread crumbs, onion, parsley, 1/4 tsp. pepper, allspice/nutmeg. Add meat and mix well. Shape into 30 meatballs.

In large skillet cook meatballs in butter, half at a time, over medium heat for about 10 min or till no pink remains. Remove meatballs from skillet, reserving 2 Tbsp. of drippings. Drain the meatballs on a paper towel.

Stir flour, bouillon and 1/8 tsp. pepper into the reserved drippings. Add remaining milk. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir one more minute. Return meatballs to skillet and heat through. Serve with mashed potatoes.
