pepper to taste
Directions
1.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Peel and cut the potatoes and carrots into 2" chunks and carefully place into the boiling water.

Peel and chop the onions and saute with 1/2 stick of butter, garlic, and katjap manis in a large skillet. Once the onions are brown add them and the sausages to the boiling vegetables. Continue boiling for another 15-20 minutes until all vegetables are soft and can be mashed with a fork.

Drain the water and pull out the sausage. Mash the vegetables with a potato masher or large fork. Salt and pepper to taste. Slice the sausage and return to the pot. Combine well.
